This is a good pattern and exactly what I wanted for school shorts for my two girls. Be aware that the native format of this pattern is in millimeters with a 1/3" seam allowance. I converted the pattern to a 1/2" seam allowance and it sewed up beautifully. Pro tip for the mock fly - place the shorts front on a light box or a window and trace the outline of the fly with tailor's chalk on the front of the shorts. It's much easier to catch the backside of the fly this way. I've made size 10 and size 6 and they are definitely true to size. Highly recommended.
